<div><span>This is great information written by a top recruiter Tom Challan on  <strong>Recruiting to build your business.</strong> This is how a master  recruiter works. </span><span>Tom says&#8230;. When I started my home based business years ago, I always  focused on DIALS. I thought if I hit my target number of DIALS, then I would  have success and build momentum. It sounds like a good plan, right?</span></p>
<p><span>I personally used to use this “dials” mindset as a crutch, you probably have  experienced the same thing. I used to waste my time and tell myself “Okay well I  made my 100 dials today but no luck, maybe I will recruit someone tomorrow.”</span></p>
<p><span>But after both of my cars were repossessed, and everything in my life started  falling apart, I knew that I needed to do things a DIFFERENT way. When I got  back into the home based business after my downfall, I didn’t have the luxury to  just depend on “dials”, I had to get RESULTS. I did NOT want to waste my time  anymore.</span></p>
<p><span>So from that point on I developed this mindset:</span></p>
<p><span><strong>“I am going to enroll at LEAST one person into my home based business  today.”</strong></span></p>
<p><span>A lot of you are probably saying “I could never get to one person per day”,  but please listen carefully. Even if you only want to enroll TWO people per  month, you STILL need to have this mindset of 1 per day. No matter how many days  per week you work on your business, you need to have this type of thinking. No  matter if you work on your business once a week or five times a week, its  something that you need to do. If you shoot for the stars, you wont hit the  ground. And the worst case scenario is maybe you “only” enroll 4 or 6, maybe  even 8 people into your business that month, I can bet that is STILL more than  most people in your company!</span></p>
<p><span>It may take a few weeks, or even a few months to get to this level, but  pretty soon you WILL be at this level of recruiting one person per day, and your  business will start to grow unbelievably. A couple years ago when I personally  enrolled 500 people for that one year, I spent less than 4 hours per DAY  recruiting on the days that I DID work. Pretty soon it becomes like anything  else, it becomes second nature!</span></p>
<p><span>When you first tried to tie your shoes, did you automatically know how to do  it? Probably not unless you were a super child or something! But nowadays, do  you even think about it? No! It is second nature to you and you can do it with  your eyes closed. That is how it is with prospecting and recruiting. Once you  get into the flow, and once you put in the TIME and repetition, you can get to  the point where you might even be recruiting 2 or 3 or even MORE per day! Its  all about  putting in the time and effort.</span></p>

<p><span>Today’s  blog is<strong> building great core relationships</strong> by Mark  Victor Hansen. Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul  Series, has for more than 25 years, uniquely focused on the vital elements of  human behavior that most affect our personal and professional lives and has  influenced society’s top leaders and the general public on a global scale. Here  is what he has to say..</p>
<p>Professional salespeople, like any serious  professionals, have a goal of building excellent relationships with other people  in both their personal and professional lives.  Building excellent relationships  is a habit, and it produces wonderful rewards.<br />
But relationships can be very  fragile.  Many marriages don’t survive and many business relationships thrive  for a while and then fall apart.  We call this the Double Spiral in developing  our book, The Power of Focus. </span></p>
<p><span>We are in the Upward Spiral when things are going well, when our confidence  is high and our important relationships are healthy and flourishing.  The  opposite is the case if we slip into the Downward Spiral. Things start to  unravel, a lack of communication occurs, stress increases and life becomes a  constant struggle.  Relationships are polarized during the Downward Spiral.</span></p>
<p><span>Let’s take a quick look at how the Downward Spiral shows up in real life.  To  more clearly understand how this can impact on your current and future client  relationships, think of a personal or business relationship that didn’t work  out.  Create in your mind all the steps that caused this relationship to fall  apart.  Go back as far as you can and record what happened.  When you carefully  reflect on what causes relationships to fall apart, you can take steps to heal  them and be better prepared for the next one.</span></p>
<p><span>The Upward Spiral certainly is more fun to analyze, but when you do, you  stand to reap the rewards quicker in your future relationships.  Repeat the  process of recalling steps that caused this relationship to flourish.  But this  time, focus on a relationship that you gradually nourished, expanded and  enriched until it blossomed into a wonderful, long-term friendship or business  relationship.  You will enjoy a tremendous advantage in the marketplace when you  develop an accurate blueprint that you can duplicate many times in the future.   Powerful relationships ensure powerful results.</span></p>
<p><span><strong>Avoid toxic people</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Before we move on, please heed this important advice:  avoid toxic people!  Unfortunately, there are a few people out there who see the world as one big  problem, and in their eyes you’re part of it.  No matter how well things are  going, they focus on the nitpicking little negative details.  And they do it  constantly.  It’s a habit that totally destroys relationships. </span></p>
<p><span>You may be thinking at this point, “Easier said than done.  Do you mean if a  friend I’ve known for years talks like this, should I just turn and walk away?”   No, RUN!  His constant negativity will drain the life out of you.  Now please  understand, we’re not talking about someone who has a genuine challenge and  needs real help.  We’re referring to those chronic whiners who take great  pleasure in dumping all their negative garbage on your plate at every  opportunity.  It’s the highlight of their day.  Don’t put up with it  anymore.</span></p>
<p><span><strong>Core clients and the double win</strong></span></p>
<p><span>The important step in developing the habit of Excellent Relationships is  learning to nourish your most valuable relationships in a win-win atmosphere.   A  lot has been written and spoken about the philosophy of win-win in selling  and sales negotiation.  But win-win is essentially a philosophy of how you live  your life.  In business, win-win means having a genuine concern for the other  person; that they win as much as you do.  Sadly, however, the attitude of many  people in business has been to grind every last cent out of every situation.   These so-called guerrilla tactics cause a lack of trust, cynicism, questionable  ethics and a high level of anxiety in the marketplace.  The result is win-lose.   On the other hand, win-win doesn’t mean giving the farm away every time you make  a deal.  That’s lose-win, which would eventually put you out of business.  There’s also another category called lose-lose.  This happens when both parties  are too stubborn or too egotistical to create a winning solution. </span></p>
<p><span><strong>Building excellent core client relationships.</strong></span></p>
<p><span>A crucial element in growing your business is building excellent core client  relationships.  Core clients are at the heart of your business.  They buy from  you consistently and are a main source of revenue.  They are also happy to  provide excellent referrals for new business because they genuinely love your  products and service.</span></p>
<p><span>Amazingly, may salespeople today don’t even know who their core clients are.   Core clients are your passport to future growth.  Unfortunately, these important  relationships are often taken for granted. The attitude is, “He always orders  two thousand units a month.  We need to focus on new business.”</span></p>
<p><span><strong>Not every deal is worth saving</strong></span></p>
<p><span>New business is important.  Staying in touch with your best clients is more  important.  It’s a lot more difficult to find new customers than it is to keep  and serve your old customers.</span></p>
<p><span>Be aware of the time you spend on people who are peripheral clients.  The  word peripheral is worth noting.  It means at the outer edge, unimportant or not  worth mentioning.  Another term is dispensable.  Do you have any peripheral  clients in your business?  If you’re not sure, here’s how you can spot them.   They commonly take a lot of your time and energy and give you very little  business in return.  Sometimes they give you no business at all.  But they will  question you on every little detail, and they’ll place unreasonable demands on  your time.  Of course, you may not want to turn any business away from your  door.  But what is it costing you in time and energy to dabble in minor  results?  Some deals just aren’t worth the effort.</span></p>
<p><span><strong>You don’t want to lose your core clients</strong></span></p>
<p><span>There’s one critical element you need to understand about your core clients.   You don’t ever want to lose them.  Here’s the big question.  How much real time  do you spend with your more important core clients?  Our research indicates that  very little time is allocated to core clients.  Consequently, these  relationships never mature to their full potential.  On the bottom line, that  means a lot of money is squandered.</span></p>
<p><span>Now that you know who these important people are, pay more attention to them.  The long-term rewards are well worth the effort.  Your business will increase,  and you’ll also minimize the likelihood of losing any of these top clients to  your competitors.</span></p>
<p><span>You will probably offer your core clients special services and all those  little extras that define you as unique.  These may include golf outings,  dinners or special trips.  You could take time to share ideas of advising how to  handle certain challenges.  Maybe you consistently provide good referrals to  expand their business.  The more you know about the people on your core client  list and core personal list, the more you can help them.  And the true spirit of  win-win means that you make these contributions unconditionally.</span></p>
<p><span>Successful salespeople create an information file for every one of their core  clients and core personal relationships.  They find out everything they can  about these individuals including their likes and dislikes, favorite  restaurants, birthdays, anniversaries, kids’ names, favorite hobbies, sports and  pastimes.</span></p>
<p><span><strong>Be willing to go the extra mile</strong></span></p>
<p><span>It takes time and effort to cultivate highly successful relationships.  It  means that you will often be required to go the extra mile.  This way of living  gradually becomes your new normal behavior.  You do it without thinking.  When  win-win behavior becomes truly embedded in your everyday life, the floodgates of  opportunity will open up for you like never before.  You will indeed be richer  for it, and we don’t just mean financially.<br />

<p><span><strong>The simple fact is People Hate To Be Sold</strong></span></p>
<p><span>That’s is a 100% true statement. Although every year, billions of dollars  worth of goods and services are bought and sold — billions through online alone  — people just don’t like the IDEA of being sold. What people DO like is the idea  of OWNING the product, or taking advantage of the opportunity that is being  offered.</span></p>
<p><span>Just Look around at the people in your own life — friends, family,business  colleagues. Many of them, no doubt, love to buy things. But I’ll bet that none  of them like to be sold.</span></p>
<p><span>The fact is, with most people, if you try to sell them something, they’ll  become resistant. It’s a naturalresponse to perceived pressure. By pushing to  hard you may turn-off a prospect who was ready to buy. So my suggestion is  <strong>DON”T SELL</strong>, what you can do is <strong>TELL</strong>.</span></p>
<p><span>In order to tell about products or services you must first build rapport with  your prospect, explain what’s in it for the prospect…Then demonstrate how your  products or opportunity can solve their problems…</span></p>
<p><span>Don’t apply pressure to your prospect and don’t bully your prospect with  force, use a little finesse instead. Then you don’t have to sell the prospect  they will sell themselves.</span></p>

Some may say it&#8217;s money and others may say it&#8217;s intellect, but the real key to  any success in life is in motivation.   Motivation provides the jump that people  need to start striving for self improvement.   The more they want to do and be,  the better off they&#8217;ll end up.    There&#8217;s a reason why people hold the phrase  mind over matter so highly.   It&#8217;s because the mind is what runs the physical  world. Your thoughts guide you to success or failure, depending on what they are  indicating, so if you have motivational thoughts, you&#8217;ll end up reaching the  goals that you&#8217;ve set forth for yourself.   It&#8217;s as simple as that.</span></p>
<p><span>To be a motivational thinker, you must figure out exactly what you want to do  in your business..  Once that;s established, all you have left to do is start  setting forth on a plan to achieve those goals.   When it comes to network  marketing, that means recruiting people to work with you and sharing with them  the goals that you have in mind.   By showing them how motivated you are about  the success of your business, you will inspire them to be that passionate too,  thus instilling the values in your people that you already have in yourself.    As long as you are all on the same level of determination, your marketing  experience will go a lot smoother.</span></p>
<p><span>So what does it take to be motivational then?   Well, you have to truly show  excitement for what you are attempting to do, never once looking bored by or  uninterested in whatever it is your;e doing.   If you give the impression that  you don&#8217;t care, then your people won&#8217;t care either as they will have no need to  work toward goals that someone else is not even wishing to achieve.   Show  people that you want success more than anything else and let them know how eager  you are to get them on the path towards success as well.</span></p>
<p><span>Sometimes it seems hard enough to be motivational for yourself, let alone  other people.   When that time comes, just remind yourself of your goals and try  to think positive of how quickly you can achieve them.     Remember how eager  you were at the beginning and try to emulate that again.   As long as  your people see that you still care, they will too.   Your motivation can lead  all of you to great success in the future.</span></p>

<p><span>Never underestimate the importance of self improvement in <strong>MLM  business</strong>.<strong> Improve yourself and improve your business.</strong> No matter what product or service you may think that you are selling, the thing  that you are truly selling is yourself.  In traditional business models this is  true during the interview process to get hired, it is true during the day to day  work process as you attempt to impress your bosses and it is true when you are  with customers and clients as you need them to want to work with you, as you are  the face of the product or service you are selling.  This is at least twice as  true in an <strong>MLM business</strong>.</span></p>
<p><span>The key to success in an MLM venture is to remember that you are not only  trying to sell product, you are trying to recruit new people to the  organization.   Regardless of whether they are enticed to buy a ton of product  from you, if they like what they see in you, and want to be like you, they are  more likely to sign up with your organization, which has the potential to make  you even more money in the long run than a hefty order.   For this reason you  cannot stress enough the importance of self improvement.   In MLM, you are the  company.    How you compose yourself tells potential business associates what  kind of business you really have and is how they will decide whether or not they  want to join up.</span></p>
<p><span>Self improvement is not limited to just how you look though.    A great pair  of shoes and a sharp haircut are nice, but if you still stumble over your words  and don’t use active listening techniques in your presentation, you won’t get  very far.    The importance of self improvement in <strong>MLM business</strong> is that it gives you an opportunity to really be someone that your potential  recruits will want to be like.   People want to follow other people that are  successful. They aim to be around people that are attractive because of the  energy that surrounds them. Self improvement is all about having a positive aura  that will draw people in.</span></p>
<p><span>The importance of self improvement cannot be overstated.    By growing  yourself as a person, you have the unique opportunity to grow your business as  well.    Become the person that you have always wanted to be and you will find  that other people will want to join you, learn from you and try to be just like  you.    And that is how, in MLM, you can make the real money.</span></p>

<h3><span>1)      Vision = Action = Income</span></h3>

<p><span>Decide that you want to earn “loadsa money” from your business as fast as  possible and that your <em>MLM sponsor</em> needs to sit with you to show you  exactly what they do (and hopefully do it for you!).  It’s their job right?  And  they do stand to earn out of you don’t they?</span></p>
<p><span><strong>The Right Way</strong></span></p>
<p><span>You need to have the vision of what it is you want to achieve – simply  “wanting to earn some money” is not enough when you get a tough day.  Decide WHY  you want to do this and what your ultimate goal is.  Map out your short, medium  and long term goals.  Then make a note of the amount of time you have each week  to spend on your business and what your budget is and then sit down with your  MLM sponsor to work out your daily, weekly and monthly action plan to achieve  your goals.  Commit to them.  Your MLM Sponsor is going to achieve more success  either with or without you – make it one of your goals to find out what they do  on a daily basis.</span></p>
<h3><span>2)      Take Action</span></h3>
<p><span><strong>The Wrong Way</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Sit down have a cup of coffee with “OK” Magazine and wait for your MLM  sponsor to call you and tell you what you’re supposed to do this week – it’s  their job isn’t it and Angelina’s dress looks awesome right?</span></p>
<p><span><strong>The Right Way</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Read books like “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie  and “The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People” by Stephen R Covey  and “The  Four Hour Work Week” by Timothy Ferriss, so that you understand the mindset of  successful people and the traits that they have.  Don’t wait for your sponsor to  call you – there’s bound to be training to look at – get on with it, use your  initiative – get out of the “employee” mentality, you have the potential to have  an empire like Richard Branson if you put the effort in!</span></p>

<h3><span>3)      Procrastination = Paralysis of Your Business</span></h3>
<p><span><strong>The Wrong Way</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Start complaining to your MLM sponsor when you haven’t made any money the  first week and then tell them you really couldn’t do the tasks this week because  you have a job.  I mean it’s alright for them – they don’t have another job do  they?  They don’t know what it feels like to have no time – they got a six  figure income in six months and they didn’t have to work!</span></p>
<p><span><strong>The Right Way</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Visualize your success.  No superstar MLM Sponsor wants to work with someone  who doesn’t believe they can do it.  Don’t moan.  Your sponsor will help you  with any difficulties, but don’t moan to them that you can’t do what you said  you could do.  Remember that life will always throw you a curveball every now  and again, but don’t let it get in the way.  Understand that every truly  successful MLM Sponsor may have worked days and nights and made many sacrifices  to achieve what they have – ask yourself what you are prepared to sacrifice, so  that you can do the activities you need to do.</span></p>

<h3><span>4)       Surround Yourself with Success Not Failure</span></h3>

<p><span>Periodically call some of the other members of your MLM Sponsor’s team and  talk about the fact that it’s so hard and rejoice in the fact that they can’t do  it either.  Have a good old moan about your sponsor too because they probably  just got “lucky” with who they sponsored.   I mean if other team members can’t  do it, then there’s no way that you can right?</span></p>
<p><span><strong>The Right Way</strong></span></p>
<p><span>Create a mastermind group on Facebook or Skype with others that are really  achieving what you want to achieve.  Discuss success strategies and share what’s  working.  Discuss other people’s skills and your area of skills so that you may  be able to call on each other for help with something you may not understand.   Attend live events when you can, don’t ever be negative about where you’re  going, stay focused and surround yourself with positive and motivated minds.</span></p>

<h3><span>5)      Persistent and Consistent Daily Action</span></h3>

<p><span>Meet up with all your friends who laughed at you when you joined your biz op  – heck, they were probably right after all weren’t they……even though they are  all broke?</span></p>

<p><span>Apologise to the really negative “friends” who don’t support you and say you  will catch up with them soon, but right now you are working on securing your  financial future.  Your true friends will understand, will be supportive and may  even be able to help you (or join you!).  Take consistent daily action even if  you don’t see results straight away – measure your results and make adjustments,  but be persistent.</span></p>
<p><span>In summary – be positive, focused and motivated.  This is YOUR business and  no-one is going to do it for you.  Build relationships with other developing and  successful people.  Give out exactly what you want to receive and be friendly  but professional and courteous at all times.  Understand this business is about  helping others to achieve, and in doing so, success will be inevitable.</span></p>

<p><strong> 1</strong>.<strong> Don’t wait until conditions are perfect </strong>– If you’re waiting to start until conditions are perfect, you probably never will. There will always be something that isn’t quite right. Either the timing is off, the market is down, or there’s too much competition. In the real world there is no perfect time to start. You have to take action and deal with problems as they arise.The best time to start was last year.  The second best time is now!</p>
<p><strong>2</strong>.<strong> Be a doer -</strong> Practice doing things rather than thinking about them… Do you want to start exercising?   Do you have a great idea to pitch?   Do it today. The longer an idea sits in your head without being acted on, the weaker it becomes. After a few days the details gets hazy. After a week it’s forgotten completely. By becoming a doer you’ll get more done and stimulate new ideas in the process.</p>
<p><strong> 3</strong>. <strong>Remember that ideas alone don’t bring success –</strong> Ideas are important, but they’re only valuable after they’ve been implemented. One average idea that’s been put into action is more valuable than a dozen brilliant ideas that you’re saving for “some other day” or the “right opportunity”. If you have an idea the you really believe in, do something about it. Unless you take action it will never go anywhere.</p>
<p><strong> 4</strong>.<strong> Use action to cure fear –</strong> Have you ever noticed that the most difficult part of public speaking is waiting for your turn to speak? Even professional speakers and actors experience pre-performance anxiety. Once they get started the fear disappears. Action is the best cure for fear. The most difficult time to take action is the very first time. After the ball is rolling, you’ll build confidence and things will keep getting easier. Kill fear by taking action and build on that confidence.</p>
<p><strong> 5</strong>.<strong> Start your creative engine mechanically</strong> – One of the biggest misconceptions about creative work is that it can only be done when inspiration strikes. If you wait for inspiration to slap you in the face, your work sessions will be few and far between. Instead of waiting, start your creative motor mechanically. If you need to write something, force yourself to sit down and write. Put pen to paper. Brainstorm. Doodle. By moving your hands you’ll stimulate the flow of ideas and inspire yourself.</p>
<p><strong>6. Live in the present</strong> &#8211; Focus on what you can do in the present moment. Don’t worry about what you should have done last week or what you might be able to do tomorrow. The only time you can affect is the present. If you speculate too much about the past or the future you won’t get anything done. Tomorrow or next week frequently turns into never.</p>
<p><strong> 7</strong>. <strong>Get down to business immediately</strong> – It’s common practice for people to socialize and make small talk at the beginning of meetings. The same is true for individual workers. How often do you check email or RSS feeds before doing any real work? These distractions will cost you serious time if you don’t bypass them and get down to business immediately. By becoming someone who gets to the point you’ll be more productive and people will look to you as a leader.</p>
<p>It takes courage to take action without instructions from the person in charge. Perhaps that’s why initiative is a rare quality that’s coveted by managers and executives everywhere. Seize the initiative. When you have a good idea, start implementing it without being told. Once people see you’re serious about getting things done they’ll want to join in. The people at the top don’t have anyone telling them what to do. If you want to join them, you should get used to acting independently.</p>

<p>Hamlet may not have been talking about  network marketing, but his words do apply. Almost every network marketer has  experienced the “slings and arrows” of the naysayers, those often well-meaning  friends and relatives that stand in the way of our making an “outrageous  fortune!” Experienced network marketers, clothed in the armor of past success,  are less vulnerable to outside influences. The new distributor, however, is  vulnerable, and that “sea of troubles” can act as a barrier to reaching their  true potential.</p>
<p>What did the knights of old do to prevent an injury?  That’s right – they armed themselves. Their armor was heavy and cumbersome, and  they needed a squire to help them prepare for battle. Well, the same is true for  your new distributors. While the armor they must use is less cumbersome than  that of the knights, you must help them arm themselves for success. In other  words, you must be their squire.</p>
<p>What do I mean by “arming for  success?”</p>
<p>When a new distributor joins your network marketing  organization, they are moving into an environment that demands strong armor.  There are a lot of “slings and arrows” that can hurt their chances for success  and create a sea of troubles &#8212; of doubt, disbelief, even failure.</p>
<p>As  Rich Dad, Poor Dad author Robert T. Kiyosaki points out, most people in this  world are afraid to experience success. They are held back by negative thinking,  and consequently suffer the pain of mediocrity. Because they have not been armed  for success, and are more focused on security and survival, they subject  themselves to a life of servitude and poverty and being someone else’s  employee.</p>
<p>Arm your new distributors from negative thinking and potential  disaster. How? By understanding why so many people are negative about network  marketing and the prospects of the success it can bring.</p>
<p>Let’s face it.  There are a lot of people out there that do not want you to become successful.  When you are successful, you point out the lack of success in their lives. When  you take away any excuses they’ve been hanging onto and you force them to look  at their lives as they really are, it makes them very uncomfortable. You’ve  heard of the expression “Misery loves company.” Well, it’s true.</p>
<p>Doug  Firebaugh, network marketing guru, calls it the &#8220;Unspoken Understanding,&#8221; which  is simply the silent agreement that most people have with each other, namely  “don&#8217;t mention my mediocre life, and I won&#8217;t mention yours.” Your success and  the succe ss of your new distributors, just points out the naysayers’  mediocrity.</p>
<p>Leaders help others. If you are going to be successful in  network marketing, you must arm your new distributors against people who will  try to convince them their business won&#8217;t work. Show your downline you want them  to be successful. Encourage them. Show them how the most successful network  marketers have achieved their success, and teach them to model those attitudes,  habits, and actions. Remind your distributors that they are the CEO of their  lives. Arm them with the power of positive thinking so they don’t let others  live their lives for them with their negative attitudes.</p>

<div>A high percentage of people fail to make a full-time income in network  marketing, because they either don&#8217;t know what to do or aren&#8217;t willing to do  what is necessary to achieve success. In this article, I&#8217;m going to eliminate  the excuse of not knowing. Here are ten keys to achieving high success in  network marketing:</div>

<p><strong>1. Purpose</strong> &#8211; you must have a strong &#8220;why&#8221; for this business,  otherwise the negativity from the dreamstealers (those people in your life who  will try to save you from the pyramid scam). Are you interested in more time  freedom? Extra money every month? Helping other people improve their lives?  Financial freedom? A strong purpose will keep you focused and ensure your  success in network marketing and all aspects of your life.</p>
<p><strong>2. Goals</strong> &#8211; you must have written steps that will help you  achieve your purpose. Set written goals for the next 5 years, 1 year, monthly,  daily. Set goals for # of new contacts, # of retail customers, # of  distributors, income, pin levels, etc. Make sure these goals are written. Read  them daily.</p>
<p><strong>3. Plan </strong>- you must have a written plan for achieving your  goals. The great eastern (New York Yankee) philosopher, Yogi Berra, once said,  &#8220;if you don&#8217;t know where you&#8217;re going, you&#8217;ll probably end up some place else.&#8221;  In other words, if you don&#8217;t have a written plan to achieve your goals, you  won&#8217;t!</p>
<p><strong>4. Belief</strong> &#8211; you must believe in network marketing, your  company, the products, the compensation plan, the leadership, the marketing  programs, your upline, and yourself. The stronger your belief, the greater your  commitment.</p>
<p><strong>5. Commitment</strong> &#8211; you must be committed to your company for  life! Not, &#8220;I&#8217;ll give this a try for 6 months and see how it works.&#8221; I can  guarantee you will fail! You must know that this is the best company, with the  best products. You must believe that this opportunity is perfect for yourself  and for others. If this is not the case, find another company where it is.</p>
<p><strong>6. Positive Attitude</strong> &#8211; bad things will happen. The media  will cover our industry, and your company negatively at times. Prospects will  tell you you&#8217;re crazy for being a part of one of those pyramid schemes. Even  your family will think your nuts! Keep in mind that they are ignorant of the  facts. You have the facts! This is a great industry.</p>
<p>It will revolutionize the way products and services are distributed  throughout the world. You are a part of the greatest industry in the world and  the greatest company in that industry. Be positive about the company, industry,  products, upline, downline, etc. It&#8217;s up to you to spread positive and hope  everywhere you go.</p>
<p><strong>7. Lead by Example</strong> &#8211; people will do what you do, not what  you say to do. They will look to you to lead by example.</p>
<p>If things aren&#8217;t going well, ask yourself this question, &#8220;how happy would I  be if all my downline worked like me?&#8221;</p>
<p>Are you doing what&#8217;s necessary to be successful? If you aren&#8217;t, you can&#8217;t  expect your downline to. Keep prospecting and recruiting people. Give your  downline leads and placements. Use the company training system and promote it&#8217;s  use to your downline. If you do the right things every day, your downline will  do the right things every day, and good things will result.</p>
<p><strong>8. Love People</strong> &#8211; in our harried world we forget to love  people. I&#8217;m not talking about romantic love, but rather caring love. Love your  sponsor for introducing you to this great company. Love your upline for helping  you. Love your downline for committing to you. Love the company for providing  these fantastic products and incredible financial opportunity.</p>
<p>Love your prospects, even those who are mean and nasty. In fact love them  even more, because they probably need it more.</p>
<p>If you love people, they will love you back. Wow! What a feeling. It turns  this from a business into a big loving family full of members who are willing to  do anything for you.</p>
<p><strong>9. Daily Action</strong> &#8211; this is a business, not a hobby. If you  invested a half million dollars in a McDonalds franchise would you work it in  your spare time &#8211; when you didn&#8217;t have anything else to do &#8211; when there weren&#8217;t  any good T.V. shows on? Of course not. You&#8217;d be working 15 hours a day to get  your money back. You probably didn&#8217;t invest much to get into your business, but  the commitment level should be the same, because the long-term benefits are much  greater in network marketing than with McDonalds.</p>
<p>Work your business every day. Plan time into your daily schedule to prospect,  contact, follow-up, work with your downline, conduct training meetings for your  downline, conduct business briefings, work online, and study. Daily activity  will produce daily results, which build into monthly results, which build into  yearly results.</p>
<p>Do you know that if you made up a list of everyone you have ever known and  started to contact them, you would recruit at least 10% of them without trying  very hard. If you become proficient, you would probably close 30% or better.  Just think, if you contacted one person every day, 7 days a week, you would  contact 365 people each year. At a 10% close ratio you would have 36 new  distributors every year. If they also duplicated, you would add another 1296 the  second year, 46,656 the third year and so on. That is the power of 1 contact  each day.</p>
<p>Plan it into your schedule to call or see one new prospect every day (and I  mean every day, not just when you have a spare moment!) and commit to doing that  for the next month. You&#8217;ll be amazed at the results! Then teach your downline to  do the same thing.</p>
<p><strong>10. Cultivate leaders</strong> &#8211; find natural leaders in the warm and  cold markets. Find leaders in your current networks. You will need to find and  cultivate at least 3 leaders in each leg in order to secure them. A group of  strong leaders under each leg will enable you to have more independence and  eventually result in true walk-away income.</p>
<p>Network marketing is a great business. You have chosen a great company. You  are a great person. Follow these 10 steps to further greatness!</p>
