Here are some view points I offer you on motivation for your business. There is only one thing that you ever need to be successful in life. Some may say it’s money and others may say it’s intellect, but the real key to any success in life is in motivation. Motivation provides the jump that people need to start striving for self improvement. The more they want to do and be, the better off they’ll end up. There’s a reason why people hold the phrase mind over matter so highly. It’s because the mind is what runs the physical world. Your thoughts guide you to success or failure, depending on what they are indicating, so if you have motivational thoughts, you’ll end up reaching the goals that you’ve set forth for yourself. It’s as simple as that.

To be a motivational thinker, you must figure out exactly what you want to do in your business.. Once that;s established, all you have left to do is start setting forth on a plan to achieve those goals. When it comes to network marketing, that means recruiting people to work with you and sharing with them the goals that you have in mind. By showing them how motivated you are about the success of your business, you will inspire them to be that passionate too, thus instilling the values in your people that you already have in yourself. As long as you are all on the same level of determination, your marketing experience will go a lot smoother.

So what does it take to be motivational then? Well, you have to truly show excitement for what you are attempting to do, never once looking bored by or uninterested in whatever it is your;e doing. If you give the impression that you don’t care, then your people won’t care either as they will have no need to work toward goals that someone else is not even wishing to achieve. Show people that you want success more than anything else and let them know how eager you are to get them on the path towards success as well.

Sometimes it seems hard enough to be motivational for yourself, let alone other people. When that time comes, just remind yourself of your goals and try to think positive of how quickly you can achieve them. Remember how eager you were at the beginning and try to emulate that again. As long as your people see that you still care, they will too. Your motivation can lead all of you to great success in the future.

All The Best,

Our post today is titled a key to motivation by Brian Tracy. You will discover that this information applies to whatever business you are in.

KEEP PEOPLE IN THE KNOW

Your goal is to become a transformational leader, the kind of person that motivates and inspires people to perform at levels far beyond anything that they had previously thought possible. Transformational leaders empower others by keeping them “in the know,” by keeping them fully informed on everything that affects their jobs. People want and need to feel that they are “insiders,” that they are aware of everything that is going on. There is nothing so demoralizing to a staff member than to be kept in the dark about their work and what is going on in the company.

GIVE REGULAR FEEDBACK

One empowering behavior practiced by transformational leaders is regular feedback on performance and results. People need to know how they’re doing so they can improve if performance is below standards and so that they can be proud of their successes. The more feedback you give to people, the better it is, as long as the feedback is objective and not critical. My friend, Ken Blanchard, says that, “Positive feedback is the breakfast of champions.”

PRAISE GENEROUSLY

Be generous with your praise and encouragement. Remember, people are the only asset that can be made to appreciate in value by giving them warmth, respect, approval and by creating a climate of positive expectations.

SET HIGH STANDARDS FOR YOURSELF

What companies and countries and institutions need today are courageous visionary leaders who are committed to creating an exciting future for themselves and others. You have within yourself the ability to evolve and grow as a leader and to make a real difference in the world around you. And the one thing you can know for sure about yourself is that, no matter what you’ve accomplished up to now, there is far more that you can do.

As you practice the behaviors of effective leaders, you will grow more and more toward the realization of your full potential. It’s completely up to you.

ACTION EXERCISES

Here are two things you can do immediately to put these ideas into action in your work.

First, hold regular meetings in person or by phone with your people and tell them everything that is going on. Invite their comments, questions and concerns. Make everybody feel as if he or she was an insider in the organization.

Second, continually look for opportunities to give positive feedback, praise and encouragement. People need praise and encouragement like roses need rain and sunshine. Take very opportunity to make people feel better about themselves and their work.

To your continued success,

Herb Hunter, 734-285-6792, hunter645@aol.com

In networking teamwork can be the difference between success and failure. Take it from me it’s all about the team if you want to build a business for the long term.

Below is a excerpt from a awesome book that I love called you can’t send a duck to eagles school. I encourage you to get this book for your library.

An excerpt from
You Can’t Send a Duck to Eagle School
by Mac Anderson

Not long ago, a friend sent me the story of “Old Warwick.” It brought a smile to my face, and I think it shares a wonderful lesson for every leader to learn.

A man was lost while driving through the country. As he tried to reach for the map, he accidentally drove off the road into a ditch. Thought he wasn’t injured, his car was stuck deep in the mud. So the man walked to a nearby farm to ask for help. “Warwick can get you out of that ditch,” said the farmer, pointing to an old mule standing in a field. The man looked at the decrepit old mule and looked at the farmer who just stood there repeating,

“Yep, old Warwick can do the job.” The man figured he had nothing to lose. The two men and the mule made their way back to the ditch. The farmer hitched the mule to the car. With a snap of the reins, he shouted,

“Pull, Fred! Pull, Jack! Pull, Ted! Pull, Warwick!”

And the mule pulled that car right out of the ditch.

The man was amazed. He thanked the farmer, patted the mule, and asked, “Why did you call out all of those names before you called Warwick?”

The farmer grinned and said, “Old Warwick is just about blind. As long as he believes he’s part of a team, he doesn’t mind pulling.”

Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to obtain uncommon results.

Continued Success,

An Excerpt from
Goals…The 10 Rules for Achieving Success
by Gary Ryan Blair

Success is the intentional, pre-meditated use of choice and decision. Unless you choose-with certainty-what it is you want, you accept table scraps by default!

The world is plump with opportunity. With boldness and conviction, stick a fork into the goals you want by being decisive.

You are born with great capabilities, but you will not achieve your potential until you call upon yourself to fulfill it. You will rise to the occasion when it presents itself; yet, to assure self-fulfillment, you must provide occasions to rise to. Clearly defined goals allow you to travel toward another horizon that represents the end of one experience and the transition to a new and better existence. The objective is to choose the right goals, and then to create the necessary causes-the effects will follow!

The difference between what one person and another achieves depends more on goal choices than on abilities.

The profound differences between successful people and others are the goals they choose to pursue. Individuals with similar talents, intelligence, and abilities will achieve different results because they select and pursue different goals.

Each decision affects what you become. We form our decisions and our decisions form us.

There is no escaping this; the smallest choices are important because-over time-their cumulative effect is enormous.

Never overlook the obvious: The nature and direction of your life change the instant you decide what goals you want to pursue.

Once you make a decision you start down a path to a new destination. At the moment the decision is made, your decision to pursue a goal alters what you are becoming. A single choice can alter your life, your destiny, your legacy.

Think about it-your goal decisions represent and express your individuality. You seal your fate with the choices you make.

You define yourself by your decisions.

Your dialog with success is ultimately a solo one. Decisions and goals made must be your own if you are to call your life a success.

Always establish the best goals you can. Goals are the seeds of success-you become only what you plant. The quality of your harvest is a direct reflection of the quality of your seeds…your decisions!

Indecision is the big eraser of opportunity and potential. Risks and costs accompany every decision; however, the price of decision is far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction. When it comes to decisiveness, squatters have no rights.

Everyone has an official wish list of things they think are “reasonable.” What about the unofficial wish list? The one that common sense tells you to ignore? The list that exists deep in your mind, the list that keeps you up at night, the that makes your toes wiggle when you think of it? Why not choose that list for a change?

How long have you dreamed of being, having, and doing what you really want? Think big, as when it comes to your goals, the size of your ambition does matter.

A decision to lose weight and keep it off must be remade every time you feel hungry.

A decision is never made only once.

This is an outstanding book I suggest for everyone.

Get Off The Nail, by Jerry Clark..

Over the years I have met and observed thousands of people and each and every last one of them say they want some improvement in certain areas of their lives. In fact, most of them flat out confessed that they hated certain situations they were in. But after further evaluations, I discovered that they weren’t willing to do anything about it. It seemed to be good enough for them to just sit there and wallow in their pain, anguish and misery.

Last year, motivational speaker Les Brown and I were chatting after we had both conducted trainings for a Network Marketing Company. We were talking about the number of people who say they want to make changes but don’t seem to ever do anything about it. I told him it reminded me of a story I heard him tell an audience over 10 years ago. Here’s how the story goes…One day a man was walking down the street on his way to work. As he walked down the street, there were dogs on just about every front porch and they all would bark as the man walked passed them. However, there was one dog that he remembered, because this dog was just sitting there and he was whimpering and whining and moaning, you know the little whimpering sounds dogs make when they are wounded or in some sort of pain. Well this particular dog was just sitting there on the front porch making those sounds. The man was curious as to why this dog wasn’t barking like the other dogs and why he was whimpering. He couldn’t figure it out, so he just kept walking to work. The next day he was in the same situation where he was walking down the street and saw the dogs once again and this same dog that was moaning and groaning the other day was doing the same thing today and he just couldn’t figure it out. Well, he walked past for an entire week and every day the dog would be there moaning and groaning. So, finally, the guy got fed up, he said “let me find out what’s going on.” So he went and knocked on the door and a guy came out and said, “Yes, how may I help you?” He said, “Sir, is this your dog?” “Yes, that’s my dog.” “Well, what’s wrong with him?” The owner of the dog said, “What do you mean?” “Well, he’s been sitting here moaning and groaning, whimpering and whining for an entire week. The rest of the dogs are barking, your dog should be barking too, why is he moaning and groaning?” The owner said, “Well, he’s actually sitting on a nail.” He said, “What! Your dog is sitting on a nail. Why doesn’t he get off?” “Well, it just doesn’t hurt him enough.”

Wow! You know most people are like that dog sitting on a nail. I mean, sure, they would like to get off the nail, but what if they got off the nail and they died or something? They never seem to stop to consider that maybe they would be healed, maybe they would be free, maybe they would be able to move about and discover some new and exciting options for their lives. But noooooo. Instead, they just sit there on that nail because they’re not sure what’s going to happen if they get off. I mean, there are no guarantees of safety so to speak. Even though, it’s not the best feeling in the world, sitting on a nail, I mean, it’s not comfortable sitting on a nail, it kind of hurts, but at least they know what to expect. They know that they have $900 per week coming in so they can pay their bills and put food on the table and they can put some cloths on their back and a roof over their heads. You know, that’s enough for most people. They may even get upset with you if you question their so-called security, I mean, if you hand them a book or tape program or tell them about a seminar that can give them some effective strategies for getting off nails, they may resent you for it. Well, you’re different. You are willing to learn some effective nail removing strategies that could set you free because you and I both know that there is no such thing as security. Well, maybe I should take that back. I do know of a place where security exists on this planet. It’s called the graveyard. And you know what, most people tip toe through life so that they can arrive at the graveyard safely. Of course this will not be you…Right? That’s right…Simply because instead of Moaning & Groaning, Whimpering & Whining about not getting the results you desire, you are a Developing Charging Rhino…And Rhinos always choose to GET OFF THE NAIL and Create the conditions they desire…So Until Next Time, Be Sure to…

GET OFF THE NAIL & Always remember to Go, Go, Go!!!

JERRY CLARK became a self-made millionaire while still in his 20′s. Today, through his company, Club Rhino, Inc., he conducts personal and professional development seminars in over 35 countries worldwide

Here is a great piece called the four steps to a super attitude written by Brian Tracy. If you enjoy Mr. Tracy’s work you will love this.

DECIDE HOW TO REACT
It is not what happens to you that counts. It is how you react to what happens to you, especially when you have unexpected problems of any kind.

Here are four things you can do to assure that your attitude is the very best it can be, under all circumstances.

FOCUS ON THE FUTURE

First, whatever challenges you face, focus on the future rather than on the past. Instead of worrying about who did what and who is to blame, focus on where you want to be and what you want to do. Get a clear mental image of your ideal successful future, and then take whatever action you can to begin moving in that direction. Get your mind, your thoughts, and your mental images on the future.

THINK ABOUT THE SOLUTION

Second, whenever you’re faced with a difficulty, focus on the solution rather than on the problem. Think and talk about the ideal solution to the obstacle or setback, rather than wasting time rehashing and reflecting on the problem.

Solutions are inherently positive, whereas problems are inherently negative. The instant that you begin thinking in terms of solutions, you become a positive and constructive human being.

LOOK FOR THE GOOD

Third, assume that something good is hidden within each difficulty or challenge. Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, a major proponent of positive thinking, once said, “Whenever God wants to give us a gift, he wraps it up in a problem.” The bigger the gift you have coming, the bigger the problem you will receive. But the wonderful thing is that if you look for the gift, you will always find it.

SEEK THE VALUABLE LESSON

Fourth, assume that whatever situation you are facing at the moment is exactly the right situation you need to ultimately be successful. This situation has been sent to you to help you learn something, to help you become better, to help you expand and grow.

DECIDE TO BE POSITIVE

A Positive Mental Attitude is indispensable to your success. You can be as positive as you want to be if you will simply think about the future, focus on the solution and look for the good. If you do what other successful people do, if you use your mind to exert mental control over the situation, you will be positive and cheerful most of the time. And you will reap the benefits enjoyed by all successful people.

ACTION EXERCISES

Here are three steps you can take immediately to put these ideas into action:

First, become solution-oriented with every difficulty you face. Make a habit of looking for the answers to your questions, the solutions to your problems.

Second, seek for the valuable lesson in every adversity. Make a list of every idea or insight you can gain from every setback or difficulty.

Third, think on paper. Take some time to write out every detail of the problem, and then take the most logical next step to solve it.
To your success

The truth shall set you..by James Ray

If you automatically answered “free,” you are probably in the majority. The key distinction that came to me this week is that an important piece is missing from this equation.

What the verse says is, “You shall KNOW the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

More and more I am reminded that there is a big difference between “knowledge” and “knowing.” There is a MAJOR difference between reading a book and “living” the book.

Another common misnomer is that “knowledge is power.” Once again, untrue. Knowledge is nothing more than organized information – organized information will do nothing for you in and of itself. How many know what to do and yet…they don’t do anything with what they know?

Knowledge is an intellectual process – knowing is a spiritual/emotional process. Knowledge comes from acquiring information – knowing comes from ownership.

How can you and I continually move from knowledge to knowing – from education to ownership?

Maybe you, like me, have learned and owned much more since you have been out of school than you ever did in school. Ownership comes from 3 keys:

Study
Application
Repetition
I will make the assumption that as you read this you have at least 20 years or more of life experience. That means you have 20 years or more of programming. For this reason, it will take aggressive and proactive study as the first step to reprogramming your mind for success. But that is just the first step.

Second, after study and acquisition of new information you MUST go out and immediately apply the information into your life. From application comes experience, context and results (ECR). From ECR comes the ability to obtain and reflect upon the information, followed by the ability to condition new actions into new habits. Since this is often the most difficult of the three keys, once again, you absolutely MUST put new information into action within 24 hours or less of exposure (this is the mark of a champion). I am sure you will agree that if the 24-hour step is not engaged, the likelihood of it ever occurring is slim to none.

Third, I suggest that you study and re-study the same material until you own it (I make a practice of reading each book a minimum of 3 times). You will continuously find that each revisit exposes something that you didn’t see before. This is not because the material has changed…but because you have changed.

I often have participants read my book, or come through my “Science of Success Weekend” multiple times (some 4 or more) and without exception they always say, “I got so much more” or “This was better than the last time”. Once again, you see something different because YOU ARE different.

Repetition is the first law of learning and the mother of all skill.

Where in your life do you need to KNOW more truth? Where do you need to utilize the keys of study, application and repetition?

Pick one area, one thing you have been exposed to recently and work on that one thing this week. With this approach you will surely begin to KNOW the truth…and the truth will set your life free!

Commit to WRITING AND LIVING the book of your life, and make your life magnificent.

To your success,

You will love this piece of information titled, A Key To Motivation by Brian Tracy. Anyone who follows this path will see major things in their life.

First, hold regular meetings with your staff and tell them everything that is going on.

To your success,

Here is a great article I titled, do it now. This was written by Tom Hopkins the master. He is one of the most incredible people I follow. I know you will enjoy this.

Self-Discipline really encompasses nearly everything in life. Do you remember in school when you were given 30 days to write a term paper? Did you start it that first night?
Most of us didn’t. Instead, we thought about it every night. “Got to get moving on that ratty project. But I’ve got almost a whole month left–it can wait.” As time goes by, worry about getting a failing grade looms larger in our minds. At first the pain of starting the term paper is greater than our concern about the failing grade, so after a week we still haven’t started. Two weeks go by. What are we doing every night before we go to sleep? Worrying about that F. “I better start. Tomorrow I’ll get moving on it.”

A week before the term paper is due, the F is getting larger–but it’s still not quite large enough to offset the pain of working at preventing it. All of a sudden there are only three days left before it’s due, and at last the F looms larger than the pain of working on the term paper. So we start.

As you lay it out you begin feeling some enthusiasm. “This isn’t bad. I may get an A if I do this and do that.” When you walk in with your paper you’re happy, but you wasted 27 days worrying about starting. In other words, you operated at a deficit emotionally for 27 days when you could have been in the profit column the whole time. Move into the emotional profit column right now; starting today, get your priority tasks and actions handled promptly. Plan your actions, then act on your plans. Apply this determination to every area of your life and it will make an enormous difference in your income, growth rate in business as well as your satisfaction and growth rate personally.

The portrait of a man who was being called the Whiz Kid on Wall Street appeared on the cover of a national magazine many years ago. He was one of the first to put a conglomerate together, and some of the federal laws affecting business in the early 70′s came about because of the trends that his creativity set off. At the time he was 42, he was running one of the largest industrial combines in the country, the conglomerate he had built himself. So the magazine had assigned a journalist and a team of researchers to do an in-depth report on this entrepreneur.

One of the researchers went to the small city the dynamic executive had left 15 years earlier. A few items turned up there about an alcoholic with the same name who had been sleeping on park benches at that time. The researcher passed this information along, and as the journalist was concluding his interview with the Wall Street powerhouse in his plush office, the journalist laughed and said, “Believe it or not, a man with your exact name was sleeping on park benches and getting ousted by the police when you lived in your home town. I guess the poor guy was a real wino. Isn’t that something?”

The president looked up and smiled. “That was me,” he said.

The reporter was flabbergasted. “This can’t be. You’re kidding.”

The president of the conglomerate leaned back in his leather chair and shook his head. “I’m not kidding. The wino sleeping off drinks on park benches was me.”

The journalist stared at him for a moment and realized that the man was telling the truth. He also realized that now he had a whole new story. When his apologies were waved aside, he said, “I have to ask, what made you change?”

Listen to what he said because so many people fit this mold: “When I was sleeping under newspapers in the park 15 years ago, I knew that someday I would do what I’m doing now. I was just waiting until I was ready to start.”

Do you know how many people are like that? “Well, next year’s my year. I’m going to get to work then. You just wait and see–right after the first of the year I’m gonna start shaping up.” But of course the time to get going never quite comes for most people. They have good intentions, but are lacking the two most vital components of any good deed: the motivation to begin and a strategic plan to keep them moving forward.

You see, by not beginning, you’re not risking failure, but you’re also confining yourself to the level of success you currently have. If you’re happy with that, fine. If not, make that plan and get fired up!
