I just heard a report on CNN News this morning that 263,000 jobs were lost again last month. The Current Unemployment Rate is worst then it has been since the 1930′s. Right now there are 7.2 million people looking for jobs and the reporter said that does not include the retired people or stay at home moms trying to get back in the work force. When you include those numbers people looking for jobs total about 20 million. While layoffs have slowed, they have not stopped, and many workers remain fearful about what the future holds.
The Conference Board reported Tuesday that its widely watched barometer of consumer confidence dipped to a reading of 53.1 in September, from 54.5 in August, as Americans’ worries about job security flared again.
