How to Market In The 21st Century

Do you understand how to market in the 21st century??  Network marketing in the 21st century is different from what our parents and grand parents did in this industry.  Network Marketing, especially in the twenty first century, involves using the latest forms of media.  This includes the use of online ads, forums, blogs and websites.  You can mix technology with the traditional means of marketing like print catalogs, brochures, direct mail, and postcards, however studies have shown that not only are the majority of our target audience online, but traditional media just doesn’t carry the weight it once did.  Online marketing is also more cost efficient then most offline marketing.

The purpose of network marketing is to get the potential customer to respond to your material and purchase your product or to join your downline team.  This is also referred to as effectively using a call to action. This is the biggest challenge most marketers today face – when there’s a call to action and the customer doesn’t follow through.

Just think about all of the pleas to buy a product or information that you received just within the last week.  Because of the vast growth in technology, people hear so much advertising that they learn to tune them all out.  Even your message can get tuned out.  If that happens you’re not reaching the potential customer.  If they are not responding to a call to action then you’re not making a profit or building your team.

In order to break through the “tune out” process, you have to know how to use online network marketing to ensure the outcome you’re striving for. If your end goal with your network marketing strategy is just to gain a new customer, you’re way off the mark.

Are you surprised to hear that? You shouldn’t be.  It’s a common mistake even among network marketers who’ve been in the business awhile.  The goal and the focus of direct online network marketing is to build a strong downline team, which means multiplying by duplicating the original.

Do you know how to turn one customer into hundreds of customers? Here is how you do it.  On your website, aside from having well written content, you need a way for the visitor to sign up.  When they sign up, you can then contact them with your messages.  This is called permission based marketing, and I promise you it beats cold calling.  The people who sign up are the ones who want to hear about what you have to offer.

It is impossible for you to travel the world in a day, however your virtual presence can.  You can show people all over the world 24 hours a day how you can meet their needs.

By taking advantage of online network marketing, you can meet new clients (who will in turn lead you to other clients) and you can interact with the customers and prospects that you do have and build those relationships even stronger.

Remember this is a relationship business.

great post, Herb. All your posts are excellent and make alot of sense.Bob

I’m glad I’ve subscribed to your blog, Herb. Although this post doesn’t include a short video to support your relevant content . . . I appreciate those carefully selected bits!

Oh, wait, there I see Robert Kiyosaki’s youtube video in the side bar . . . EXCELLENT!! Kiyosaki certainly has done a lot to educate others who currently hold an outdated and judgemental attitude about the multi-level-marketing distribution channel . . .

I find all your posts are concise, authentic, and without the hype that comes with a lot of the so-called “Home-business-advice”. You’re the real thing!
