Your 2012 New Years Resolutions And Goals.
It’s time for all of us to set our goals and update our vision boards for 2012. Many of us take time this time of the year to put together Your 2012 New Years Resolutions And Goals. As New Years fast approaches I’m sure everyone has given thought to their New Years Resolutions. What do you want to be, do and have in 2012? I believe that New Years Resolutions don’t work unless you set True Goals – goals that have everything you need to be able to achieve them. I wanted to share a quick outline on how to make a True Goal with the hope that your New Years Resolutions this year will result in making 2012 the best year of your life.
Here goes -
A True Goal needs three things:
Vision, Mission, and Strategy
Vision Provides a Picture – answering What?
Mission Provides Purpose – answering Why?
Strategy Provides a Plan – answering How?
A true goal requires that you identify what you want, feel a deep sense of why you want it and then develop a plan as to how you will achieve it.
To develop your strategy – there are four simple questions to ask. They are:
Who has done it?
How did they do it?
What are the obstacles?
What are the solutions?
When you set a goal with vision, mission and strategy – you dramatically increase your odds of achieving it.
Make 2012 your best year Ever!

Christmas joy
What is Christmas joy? Why do people seem so much more caring about others? Well for me, Christmas is a Season, a major event and experience. It’s like a beautiful story, a big book or a really good movie..
It starts at Thanksgiving as December draws closer. The music comes, the decorations appear. Outside its getting colder and the days are shorter but in our home the Christmas joy experience starts taking place.
All the Christmas movies we watch, every evening a different one. With popcorn and cola. Every day we take out another one of our Christmas boxes and put up some decorations; this way decorating for Christmas is relaxed and fun instead of stressful.
What thrills me is that we’re all in this together. And that isn’t about family or friends; it’s us as a country all together into Christmas.
Commercials, stores, store windows, music on the radio, people doing Christmas shopping, Christmas decorations appearing everywhere, everything Christmas theme. On TV popular series have the time in their make believe world synced to ours and we see them having Christmas. The Christmas classics appear.
For a couple of weeks we’re all one, sharing the same experience, living the same life. It’s not that I’m a dreamer but that experience, that us approaching Christmas thing … that’s what Christmas joy is for me.
Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Herb Hunter, 734-285-6792
Things you don’t need to achieve success in network marketing.
Let me share with you a few things you don’t need to achieve success in network marketing.
1. You Don’t Need A Degree Or Any Higher Form Of Learning
Thousands of people have been successful in networking without the benefit of college degrees. One of my most successful people on my team is a high school dropout. Since networking is so unlike other businesses, the rules are not the same here. Its possible, actually quite common, to build a large successful organization without having any credentials or degrees.
I am not saying that a degree is not a good thing. I believe in education however degrees are not duplicatable. If you or your sponsor has a degree, great. Its just not necessary for success in network marketing.
2. You Don’t need anyone else’s Approval
The only person who needs to approve of your network marketing career is you. Sometimes even your spouse may not approve. This is actually a frequent initial response, however thousands of people who have built huge businesses without the help of their spouse. Of course, after that, the spouse usually comes on board enthusiastically and things really take off.
One of the hardest facts of business to face is that not everybody is ready for success, or is as enlightened as you.
You may find that some of your closest friends and family members will ridicule you. Just give these well-meaning souls a wry smile, thank them for their input and get away from them as quickly as possible.
3. You Don’t Need Negative Uninformed Advice
Oftentimes a new distributor will get involved with network marketing and get all kinds of well-meaning advice from friends who have never built a networking business.
If you want to know how to fly airplanes, you must get advice from an expert pilot. If you want to build a network, look at your sponsorship line and find someone who has already built a large network. Those are the people to seek out for advice.
5. You Don’t Need Perfection
Guess what… The perfect company, product line, or compensation plan hasn’t been invented yet. Like every- thing in nature, it must evolve. Your job is to look at the whole picture .and decide if it is right for you. If you sit around waiting for perfection you will be waiting a very long time. Don’t make the mistake many many new distributors make to think that you can’t do anything until they you tried every single product, read every scrap of literature and completely understood every minute detail of the compensation plan.
The important thing is to get started and learn as you go.
All The Best To You,

Building great core relationships.
Today’s blog is building great core relationships by Mark Victor Hansen. Mark Victor Hansen, co-author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series, has for more than 25 years, uniquely focused on the vital elements of human behavior that most affect our personal and professional lives and has influenced society’s top leaders and the general public on a global scale. Here is what he has to say..
Professional salespeople, like any serious professionals, have a goal of building excellent relationships with other people in both their personal and professional lives. Building excellent relationships is a habit, and it produces wonderful rewards.
But relationships can be very fragile. Many marriages don’t survive and many business relationships thrive for a while and then fall apart. We call this the Double Spiral in developing our book, The Power of Focus.
We are in the Upward Spiral when things are going well, when our confidence is high and our important relationships are healthy and flourishing. The opposite is the case if we slip into the Downward Spiral. Things start to unravel, a lack of communication occurs, stress increases and life becomes a constant struggle. Relationships are polarized during the Downward Spiral.
Let’s take a quick look at how the Downward Spiral shows up in real life. To more clearly understand how this can impact on your current and future client relationships, think of a personal or business relationship that didn’t work out. Create in your mind all the steps that caused this relationship to fall apart. Go back as far as you can and record what happened. When you carefully reflect on what causes relationships to fall apart, you can take steps to heal them and be better prepared for the next one.
The Upward Spiral certainly is more fun to analyze, but when you do, you stand to reap the rewards quicker in your future relationships. Repeat the process of recalling steps that caused this relationship to flourish. But this time, focus on a relationship that you gradually nourished, expanded and enriched until it blossomed into a wonderful, long-term friendship or business relationship. You will enjoy a tremendous advantage in the marketplace when you develop an accurate blueprint that you can duplicate many times in the future. Powerful relationships ensure powerful results.
Avoid toxic people
Before we move on, please heed this important advice: avoid toxic people! Unfortunately, there are a few people out there who see the world as one big problem, and in their eyes you’re part of it. No matter how well things are going, they focus on the nitpicking little negative details. And they do it constantly. It’s a habit that totally destroys relationships.
You may be thinking at this point, “Easier said than done. Do you mean if a friend I’ve known for years talks like this, should I just turn and walk away?” No, RUN! His constant negativity will drain the life out of you. Now please understand, we’re not talking about someone who has a genuine challenge and needs real help. We’re referring to those chronic whiners who take great pleasure in dumping all their negative garbage on your plate at every opportunity. It’s the highlight of their day. Don’t put up with it anymore.
Core clients and the double win
The important step in developing the habit of Excellent Relationships is learning to nourish your most valuable relationships in a win-win atmosphere. A lot has been written and spoken about the philosophy of win-win in selling and sales negotiation. But win-win is essentially a philosophy of how you live your life. In business, win-win means having a genuine concern for the other person; that they win as much as you do. Sadly, however, the attitude of many people in business has been to grind every last cent out of every situation. These so-called guerrilla tactics cause a lack of trust, cynicism, questionable ethics and a high level of anxiety in the marketplace. The result is win-lose. On the other hand, win-win doesn’t mean giving the farm away every time you make a deal. That’s lose-win, which would eventually put you out of business. There’s also another category called lose-lose. This happens when both parties are too stubborn or too egotistical to create a winning solution.
Building excellent core client relationships.
A crucial element in growing your business is building excellent core client relationships. Core clients are at the heart of your business. They buy from you consistently and are a main source of revenue. They are also happy to provide excellent referrals for new business because they genuinely love your products and service.
Amazingly, may salespeople today don’t even know who their core clients are. Core clients are your passport to future growth. Unfortunately, these important relationships are often taken for granted. The attitude is, “He always orders two thousand units a month. We need to focus on new business.”
Not every deal is worth saving
New business is important. Staying in touch with your best clients is more important. It’s a lot more difficult to find new customers than it is to keep and serve your old customers.
Be aware of the time you spend on people who are peripheral clients. The word peripheral is worth noting. It means at the outer edge, unimportant or not worth mentioning. Another term is dispensable. Do you have any peripheral clients in your business? If you’re not sure, here’s how you can spot them. They commonly take a lot of your time and energy and give you very little business in return. Sometimes they give you no business at all. But they will question you on every little detail, and they’ll place unreasonable demands on your time. Of course, you may not want to turn any business away from your door. But what is it costing you in time and energy to dabble in minor results? Some deals just aren’t worth the effort.
You don’t want to lose your core clients
There’s one critical element you need to understand about your core clients. You don’t ever want to lose them. Here’s the big question. How much real time do you spend with your more important core clients? Our research indicates that very little time is allocated to core clients. Consequently, these relationships never mature to their full potential. On the bottom line, that means a lot of money is squandered.
Now that you know who these important people are, pay more attention to them. The long-term rewards are well worth the effort. Your business will increase, and you’ll also minimize the likelihood of losing any of these top clients to your competitors.
You will probably offer your core clients special services and all those little extras that define you as unique. These may include golf outings, dinners or special trips. You could take time to share ideas of advising how to handle certain challenges. Maybe you consistently provide good referrals to expand their business. The more you know about the people on your core client list and core personal list, the more you can help them. And the true spirit of win-win means that you make these contributions unconditionally.
Successful salespeople create an information file for every one of their core clients and core personal relationships. They find out everything they can about these individuals including their likes and dislikes, favorite restaurants, birthdays, anniversaries, kids’ names, favorite hobbies, sports and pastimes.
Be willing to go the extra mile
It takes time and effort to cultivate highly successful relationships. It means that you will often be required to go the extra mile. This way of living gradually becomes your new normal behavior. You do it without thinking. When win-win behavior becomes truly embedded in your everyday life, the floodgates of opportunity will open up for you like never before. You will indeed be richer for it, and we don’t just mean financially.
Happy Holidays,

The Holidays.
There’s no doubt about it now. The holidays are in full swing and it’s easy to get caught up in the trappings of the season – the decorations, the shopping, the parties, the endless to-do lists. Your refrigerator is filled with leftovers and the mall beckons with the promise of great bargains.
But, I invite you to take just a moment in all the hustle and bustle to be kind to others this season and to share with those who may be less fortunate. Sometimes, just a simple act of kindness can change a life forever.
The Simple Blessing of Christmas by Mark Gilroy
Norman Vincent Peale, noted minister and author from the previous century, tells the story of a young girl from Sweden spending Christmas in big, bustling New York City. She was living with an American family and helping them around the house, and she didn’t have much money. So she knew she couldn’t get them a very nice Christmas present – besides, they already had so much, with new gifts arriving every day.
With just a little money in her pocket, she went out and bought an outfit for a small baby, and then she set out on a journey to find the poorest part of town and the poorest baby she could find. At first, she received only strange looks from passersby when she asked them for help. But then a kind stranger, a Salvation Army bell-ringer, guided her to a poor part of town and helped her deliver her gift. On Christmas morning, instead of giving them a wrapped present, she told the family she served what she had done in their name. Everyone was speechless, and everyone was blessed – the girl for giving, the wealthy family for seeing others with new eyes, and the poor family for receiving an unexpected gift.
All of us have opportunities both large and small to show kindness, especially at Christmastime. We can help strangers by delivering gifts to needy kids or serving homeless families at a soup kitchen. Or we can simply look for everyday ways to be kind, like allowing someone to go ahead of us in a lengthy line at the department store, or giving that bell-ringer a little change and a few encouraging words.
Maybe it’s because we’re in gift-giving mode anyway that giving to others becomes so important at Christmas. Or because we’re more aware of our families and friends and communities. Or maybe it’s because two thousand years ago, the earth received the most perfect, most loving gift of all, helping us to understand true kindness.
Whatever the reason, don’t let Christmas pass you by without showing kindness to someone. Because it is truly more blessed to give than to receive.
Happy Holidays,

Time Management Get Organized.
One of the keys to being consistently productive and effectively running a business is organization and the ability to schedule time properly. We all like to think of ourselves as organized, but in reality, is this the truth. Time Management Get Organized.
Have you ever found that in spite of your best intentions, you just couldn’t accomplish everything you set out to do in a given day or week? Is it because you’re trying to cram too many things into your days and weeks, or is it because you just need to work on your organization and time management skills? Do you find that you plan a schedule, and then get distracted with so many other things that you can’t finish your work?
Regardless of the reason, it’s vital to get organized! You’re not going to experience MLM success until you can get your time organized. Once you manage this, you will be able to see what areas you need help in and which areas you can maximize.
Even though some of us think that having to be organized stifles creativity, it really makes it much easier to be creative – you’re freer to create the business and life you want (sounds like fun when I put it that way, doesn’t it?).
So let’s talk about time scheduling. First you need some tools. They don’t have to be elaborate or fancy, so don’t worry. You need a calendar (one with space to write things down) and a diary or journal. Once you have the tools you’ll use, you need to commit yourself to truly making use of them. This is how you’re going to begin to get organized and then stay organized.
The first step to learning to properly schedule your time is to see how you’re using your time right now. This is where you will use your diary or journal. For a week, don’t change your schedule. Just keep very close track of what you do with your time. Record what you’re doing in some detail, how you’re feeling (tired, restless, alert, etc), and write down the time you start each new activity – even if it’s just taking a few minutes to chat on the phone with a friend.
After one week, look at your journal. What can you learn from it? That you are spending a lot of time chatting or day dreaming? Maybe you’re spending a lot of time doing things that should be eliminated from your workday. You might be surprised to see how much time you spend on Facebook or checking email.
Look closely to find areas where there is waste. You don’t have to check your email ten times a day! You can easily reduce that amount to three times. And you don’t have to answer every phone call that comes in – in fact, if you’re working, you should eliminate the distraction of the phone – that’s what voice mail is for. Schedule time each day to return calls – and then limit the amount of time you’re on each call if you can!
Next, look at the work tasks that you need to accomplish each day and throughout the week. Make sure to include time for emails and communicating with downline members and potential recruits, along with social networking, marketing activities, etc. Keep in mind that you also need to have time for your personal life, and your “day” job, if you’re still working outside of the home. Oh, and don’t forget that you have to sleep at some point!
The point is to create to-do lists and prioritize them. Certain things will have to take place at certain times. They can fit into your schedule without any more analysis if you’ve deemed them necessary. Now look at what is left. Large tasks can be broken down into smaller ones – this will help you keep from getting overwhelmed.
Now here is where things get interesting! It’s time to schedule your work time, and indeed your whole life to some extent. If you’ve made notes about the times of day that you’re feeling more alert and energized (and you should have), you can start working your schedule to fit those times. You can use higher energy times for doing certain tasks, and you can also use the information you’ve collected to see if some simple rest or dietary changes might help you find more “energy” time during your day.
As you start building your schedule, keep the following in mind:
l Stay realistic – you only have so much time each day.
l Make sure the things that you absolutely must do are scheduled and that you’ve left enough time to complete them.
l Don’t over-commit yourself.
l Remember to expect the unexpected – leave some contingency time in your schedule for surprises.
Once you’ve built your schedule, do two things: remember that a schedule is fluid – it’s going to move and change, and remember that you can always go back to basics if you need to – it won’t hurt to use your diary to track your habits occasionally to make sure you’re staying organized.
All the best,
Herb Hunter, hunter645@aol.com, 734-285-6792
Happy Thanksgiving 2011.
Happy Thanksgiving 2011. This year as we count our blessings, it isn’t hard to see that life’s most valued treasures are the treasures that are free.
For it isn’t what we have that signifies our life, it’s the special things that have no price: our family, friends and health.
Many of us have suffered the loss of good friends and loved ones this past year and our country has also suffered great losses here at home with the economy, and the stress and strain so many people are having today as well as around the world in Iraq and Afghanistan with the many service people who have given their lives to protect us. In times like these, we each have the opportunity to stop and reflect and think about what is really important to us in our life.
Hopefully this Thanksgiving you will take time to reflect on just how precious and fragile life is and to not waste what little time we are given to achieve our goals and dreams. We need to do it now.
We also need to take time to spend with those we love and care about, as well as all the special people in our lives that touch us and we touch daily. For me Thanksgiving is about the gift of family and friends that are the true riches in my life.
I will be thinking of each and every one of you during this season of Thanksgiving that I know personally as well as wishing blessings for all, even if we never met. So many of you have touched my life in so many ways and I am a very wealthy individual for this.
For those that are no longer with us, I know there will be a special place for them in your hearts and minds as we observe Thanksgiving this year.
Please remember our men and women who are serving our country and can’t be with their loved ones this year. I will be observing a moment of silence in honor of them .
Happy Thanksgiving to you,
Herb Hunter
Are you achieving success in Network Marketing?
How long have you been in the network marketing industry?? Are you achieving success in Network Marketing?? How is your business growing?? If you have been in the Network Marketing industry for very long you may have asked this question. Why is it that some people go right to the top in network marketing and others simply don’t ?
The answer is easier than you might think. Although before I answer that question let me lay some groundwork.
Most people that you’re prospecting or sponsor will be those just passing through, willing to take a stab at it, with the attitude of who knows it might work. The fact is 97% of them will quit and a handful will make something happen. Notice if you will that I did not say they will fail, I said they will quit, there is a difference.
So what is the answer to the question? Most people quit most things not just network marketing and the reason is they don’t think like the 2-3% of the population who enjoys great success. Is it that simple? Yes it actually is. There is a Scripture in Proverbs that states, As a man thinketh in his heart so is it in his head . That is original, that is not someone’s spin on it or the latest guru’s idea. You are what you think you are. So what is it that you think you are? Have you ever asked yourself that question? I recommend you do and give serious thought to your answer. It will be a determining factor in having success in network marketing or not having success.
If your thinking is wrong then your actions or behavior will be wrong as well. You cannot think one way and act or live another way.
I have touched on this in other posts, but you need to know you deserve success. If you don’t think you deserve success, everything else you do will be a moot point. If you think you deserve success then you have no problem thinking about yourself as successful and the result of that over time is you will begin to act successful. Which means you will have success in your home based business but also life. Have a can do attitude, an attitude of no quitting. When you have that success wealth mindset than it is only a matter of time until you experience it.
Why is it that people that have not experienced success in other areas of their lives, consider that a home based business would be any different? What happens is they don’t think and behave like they are successful, and it carries over into all areas of life not just one. However when people don’t experience success in network marketing it is the fault of the industry? It’s a scam or it was not the real deal or some excuse. Change your thinking and that will result in different actions.
It is not network marketing that is the problem or keeping you from success it is your thinking. Network Marketing is actually affording you the chance to change your life. To reach a place where you can experience time freedom and financial freedom. Find out what the successful people are doing and make it your own.
All the best,
Herb Hunter, hunter645@aol.com, 734-285-6792
