How would you like to discover 12 goal setting mistakes you can avoid. It is not only important to set goals its equally important to know WHY you set a particular goal. You also want to have a clear written time frame for hitting your goals. I always ask my team to reach for the stars in goal setting. If you set your goal to hit the stars and only end up hitting the moon that’s okay. If you set your goal to low you will never accomplish the big things in life.
Define your definite reasons for wanting to hit a specific goal. You will also want to set measurements for achieving your goals. You need to understand the benefits of hitting a goal you set for yourself. What will it really mean to you if you achieve that goal. You must also be aware of what it means to you by not achieving your goal.
You want to be aware that things will get in the way of you hitting your goals. That’s just life. You will need to focus on getting around the things that get in the way of reaching your goals. Don’t try to reach all your goals alone. Most goals require you work with other people.
Set milestones on your path to success in hitting your goals and reward yourself when you hit these milestones. Be sure to share your goals with everyone. If you keep your goal to yourself you don’t have anyone else to cheer you on to victory. Let everyone you know understand your goals so they can spur you on to victory. Learn to visualize what your goals look like, sound like, and feel like. If you can visualize your success you can achieve it.
